PRESERVING & DISPLAYING YOUR ARTWORK
The Essence of Enduring Craft
At the heart of every Scott Reither photograph lies a commitment to artistry, permanence, and presentation. Each print is crafted to museum-level standards, and with thoughtful care, will remain a source of beauty for generations.
Care & Display by Print Type
Gallery Float & Museum Framed STYLES • Dye Transfer Chrome Prints
Our signature Dye Transfer Chrome Prints merge traditional and contemporary photographic techniques, embedding the image into an aluminum plate. The result is a luminous surface with an archival life exceeding a century.
Durability: Resilient against dust and fingerprints.
Cleaning: For routine care, use a microfiber cloth lightly dampened with standard household cleaner. For more stubborn marks, a small amount of rubbing alcohol on the cloth may be used safely.
Care Note: While durable, avoid abrasive cloths or excessive pressure that could scratch the surface.
Boutique Style • Pigment Plate Prints
Boutique Style Pigment Plate Prints offer remarkable depth and tonal richness, but the ink lies directly on the surface of the plate, making them more delicate.
Durability: Visually striking, but sensitive to touch.
Cleaning: To remove dust, a hand-held air blower or canned air is the safest option. If further cleaning is required, use only a dry, soft microfiber cloth with the lightest touch. Never use water or cleaners of any kind, as moisture or chemicals can permanently damage the surface.
Care Note: These works arrive framed and ready to display. For best preservation, minimize direct handling and keep the surface free of moisture, heat, and prolonged direct sunlight.
STUDIO PRINTS
Studio Prints are archival pigment prints on fine art paper, crafted for collectors who prefer traditional framing. We print on Hahnemühle Photo Rag Ultra Smooth — a museum-quality, 100% cotton paper that is acid- and lignin-free, meeting ISO 9706 standards for age resistance. Extremely archival, this paper ensures your artwork will endure for generations when properly cared for.
Durability: Archival pigment on museum-quality cotton paper, engineered for permanence.
Handling: Always handle by the edges; cotton gloves are recommended to avoid oils or marks.
Framing: We strongly advise using a professional framer to mount and protect your print behind UV-protective glazing. This ensures both safety and longevity.
Care Note: Once framed, simply dust the glazing as you would any fine artwork — never attempt to clean the print surface directly.
